If your P0C4A check engine light is illuminated, it's best to take it in for diagnostic testing, which can feel like a hassle. Because while the lights vary in appearance from vehicle to vehicle, all have the same basic meaning: There's a problem with the car's emissions system. The on-board diagnostics system P0C4A and engine control unit are in charge of monitoring a bunch of different , and if they get a reading that's a little out of whack, up pops the check engine light.

Diagnosis And Repairing P0C4A

How to fix P0C4A code ?

See P0C4A repair manual
  • Clogged or faulty fuel injector (s)
  • Faulty TCM or TCM programming
  • Air fuel ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 Bank 1 harness is open or shorted
  • Variable Camshaft Timing solenoid stuck open

At this point we are assuming that the fuses and relays are good. You will need to locate the PCM/TCM and the power input signal circuit using your vehicle information source.

Unplug the connector from the PCM/TCM, place the ignition switch in the ON position, and probe the appropriate circuit with the positive test lead of the DVOM.
